- Club nightA club night is a named party inside a club, weekly, monthly or one-off, built around its DJs, its sound and a crowd that keeps coming back for it.
- Code wordsCode words are a short phrase a promoter or guest says at the door to claim entry or a reward, instead of being looked up by name on a list.
- CPM (cost per 1,000 views)CPM is what you pay for 1,000 views: spend divided by views, times 1,000. It is the fairest way to compare promoter stories with ads.
D
- DJ feeA DJ fee is what an organizer pays a DJ for one set: from a small sum for a local warm-up to five figures for an international headliner.
- Door dealA door deal pays a promoter, DJ or crew a share of what an event takes at the door, instead of or on top of a fixed fee.
- Door policyA door policy is the set of rules, written or not, that bouncers use to decide who gets into a club and who is turned away at the door.
- Drink balanceA drink balance is a fixed amount a guest or promoter can spend at the bar, handed out as a reward instead of cash or free entry.
E
- Early birdEarly bird tickets are the cheapest tier of an event, sold first and in limited numbers to reward the people who commit before everyone else.
- Engagement rateEngagement rate is the share of people who did something with a post or story, such as reply, share or tap, instead of just watching it.
- Event marketingEvent marketing is everything that gets people to an event: the announcement, line-up drops, promoters, stories, ads and the final-week push.
- Event promoterAn event promoter brings people to parties and clubs through their own network, today mostly with Instagram stories, for guest list, drinks or a fee.
F
- FlyerA flyer is the poster of an event, printed or digital, carrying its name, date, venue and line-up, and the image most of its promotion is built on.
- Follower bandsFollower bands grade a promoter's reward by audience size: one reward under 2,000 followers, a better one above, and up to five levels on Parmo.

- Pre-salePre-sale means selling tickets before the event, online or through promoters, usually in price tiers that rise as the date gets closer.
R
- RaveA rave is a large party built around electronic dance music, techno and house above all, running long into the night in a club, a warehouse or outdoors.
- ReachReach is the number of different accounts that saw a post or story. Unlike views, someone who watches three times still counts only once.
- Resident DJA resident DJ plays regularly at one club or party series, often every week or month, and shapes its sound far more than any guest act can.
- RiderA rider lists the technical and hospitality needs an artist attaches to a booking, from the mixer and monitors to drinks, hotel and guest list spots.
S
- Story viewsStory views count how often an Instagram story was shown, repeat views included. Only the account owner and apps they connect see the real number.
- Street teamA street team is a group of promoters working one event, venue or brand together: once with flyers and posters, today mostly with Instagram stories.
