Account and Data Deletion

How to delete your Parmo account from inside the app, what is erased immediately, and what we are required to keep.

Version 1.2 · in effect since 28. Sept. 2026

Deleting your account

You can do it yourself, in the app, in under a minute. No email to support, no waiting period, no form.

  • Parmo for iOS or Android: Profile tab → Email & password → Delete account, then confirm.
  • Parmo on the web: Settings → Account → Delete account, then confirm.

Deletion is immediate and permanent. There is no undo, and re-registering with the same email creates a new, empty account.

If you cannot sign in, write to privacy@parmo.io from the address on the account and we will delete it within 30 days.

What is erased straight away

  • Your login, email address and password hash.
  • Your profile: display name, first and last name, public handle, city, birthdate, location, gender, music taste, language and notification settings.
  • Your Instagram connection, including the stored access token, handle, name, bio, picture and audience data, and the synced posts and daily account statistics we held for it.
  • Uploads: screenshots, story media and archived story copies, event flyers and galleries.
  • Gigs still open (invited, requested, accepted or posted but not yet verified) and stories not yet verified, and any reward you had not yet earned. A reward you already earned stays yours: the organizer still owes it, and it is still handed over.
  • Draft events, promoter lists and the reserved inbox addresses, if you are an organizer. Published events are closed and your brand page taken down.
  • Your notifications, push notification tokens and in-app preferences, so notifications stop at once.
  • Your referral code and the invite links pointing at it.

Disconnecting Instagram alone, without deleting the account, removes the token and stops all further reading of your Instagram data. That is under Profile → Instagram on the phone, or Settings → Connected accounts on the web, and you can also revoke Parmo from inside Instagram’s own app settings.

You can also start from Instagram: remove Parmo under Instagram → Settings → Apps and websites and ask for your data to be deleted. We then erase the Instagram data we hold about you (the connection, the synced posts and statistics, and our stored copies of your stories) and give you a confirmation code with a status page, at /data-deletion/ followed by the code, where you can check that it happened. Your Parmo account itself stays until you delete it.
