Become a promoter

Sign up, connect Instagram, pick your genres. Ten minutes and you can request your first event.

  1. Step 1: Get the app, or use the website

The Parmo app is on iPhone and Android; everything a promoter does also works on parmo.io in a browser. Sign up with your email, or continue with Apple or Google.

  2. Step 2: Confirm your email

Tap the link in the confirmation email. An invite code or an event you came from survives this step.

  3. Step 3: Fill in your profile

First and last name, gender, date of birth (you must be 18 or older) and, if you like, your city. On the website, pick "I'm a promoter" first.

  4. Step 4: Connect Instagram

You need a professional Instagram account (business or creator). The connection runs through Instagram; Parmo never sees your password. You can skip this and do it later under Profile, but you cannot post or earn until it is connected.

  5. Step 5: Public page and genres

Decide whether your public page is visible, then pick up to five genres (or "Show me everything"). Genres are used to filter your feed and cannot be changed afterwards, so pick what you actually go out for.

What you need

  • A professional Instagram account. Switch in Instagram under Settings → Account type and tools.
  • An audience that fits the scene. Follower count only matters where an organizer sets a minimum; what matters more is that your stories are seen.
  • Your real name in the profile: it is what the organizer sees at the door.

Promoter or organizer, not both

The role you choose at onboarding is fixed for that account. If you run events too, use a second account with a different email. The phone app is for promoters only; organizers work on the web.
