Requests and screening

Who gets onto your event: accepting requests by hand, taking everyone automatically, or letting a follower minimum decide.

The Requests inbox

Every "Request to join" lands on its event page, in the Promoters tab under "Pending requests", with the promoter's follower count and past nights. Accept or decline it there; a decline can carry a short note the promoter reads. Accepting books the stories in the brief into the promoter's calendar. While anything waits, the dashboard's "Needs you" panel and the event card in the sidebar say how many; "Review" opens Requests, one list of every request and invite across your events, with search and status filters. Click a row to open its event and decide there.

Accept everyone automatically

The deal chapter of the brief has one checkbox, "Accept every request automatically". With it ticked, anyone who asks to promote the event is on the roster the moment they ask, with their posting days booked, and nothing waits under "Pending requests". Leave it off and you decide each request yourself. You can tick or untick it on a running event; it only affects requests that arrive afterwards.

Deciding several at once

Under "Pending requests" in the event page's Promoters tab, every row has a tick box. Tick the ones you want, or use "Select all", and the bar above the list tells you how many are selected and how many followers they add up to. "Accept" takes all of them onto the event and books their stories; "Decline" asks you to confirm, then tells each promoter. You can still accept or decline a single row with the buttons on it.

A request someone withdrew, or one your follower minimum already answered while you were reading, is skipped rather than overwritten, and the confirmation says how many that was.

Automatic screening

In the wizard's Screening step you can set a follower minimum. With one set, a request at or above it is accepted the moment it arrives and one below is declined automatically, with the promoter told why. Screened requests are marked "Auto" in the inbox. The rule can be changed on a running event.

Promoters you invite by name are never screened: an invite is your decision already. If "Accept every request automatically" is on, it wins over the follower minimum, and nobody is declined.

What each side is told

  • You: a notification per new request, by email, desktop or mobile push depending on your settings.
  • The promoter: accepted, declined, or auto-accepted, each with a link to the gig.
